Tammy Parr

Tammy hails from the Great Lakes state where she graduated from the University of Michigan.

She gained much of her professional event planning experience working at the San Francisco Hilton on Union Square where she produced all varieties of events from small corporate seminars and executive dinners to weddings, conventions and dinner parties up to 2,000 people.

She married her best friend and together they have three super active children. She helped him manage his health insurance business for a number of years, all the while producing events for neighborhood fundraisers, school socials, friends’ celebrations and personal parties.

She has finally decided to focus her attention on what comes naturally and brings her the most joy: planning events!


Tammy’s Story:

“I never thought about a career in event planning until I landed at the San Francisco Hilton Hotel soon after graduating college. I worked in the convention service and catering departments and helped the hotel with all of its Grand Re-Opening festivities following an enormous remodel. Meeting planners from around the world descended on the property to attend luxurious dinners, informative hotel tours, and fantastic big-name entertainment receptions. I was not only star-struck by all the celebrities and formal attire, but I loved watching the ballrooms being transformed from empty caverns to beautiful, colorful venues full of fragrant floral centerpieces, polished stages, dance floors and multi-media shows complete with fog machines and lasers. I was hooked. Over the years, I learned how to create similar spectacular events as well as cater to such VIP guests as US presidents, leaders of foreign countries, senators, professional athletes, singers, actors and everyday people. I eventually left the industry to focus my attention on raising my family, but all the while I utilized my skills to benefit my community by producing countless fundraising events, huge school functions and private celebrations for friends.
